Sculptural portraits of Scythian “kings” and “queens ” for the project of the Tyva Republican Regional Studies Museum Scythian gold of the Valley of kings of Tyva have been made by employees of the N.N. Miklukho-Maklai Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), informs sbras.info .

Marvellously “Burial place” of kings has appeared not plundered as settled down not in the burial mound centre, and the sepulchral hole reached a rocky ground and even has been deepened in it. In it perfectly remained wooden crypt with a floor from boards has been found out. Crypt walls were hanged with felt carpets.

As researchers have told, visual models of shape of Scythians at first have printed on the 3D-printer, and then finished manually. Also scientists of IEN of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the basis of existing methods and own workings out have created the complex step-by-step program of reproduction of external shape on the basis of a skull Algorithm of appearance.

This program provides more exact restoration of individual traits of physical shape at reconstruction, and also, in addition to a sculptural or graphic portrait, gives the anthropological characteristic of the person in terms of description standardly used in criminalistics, the main research assistant of the laboratory of anthropological reconstruction of the IEN of the Russian Academy of Sciences Elizabeth Veselovskaya marks.

After restoration and manufacturing of copies of skulls scientists have started sculptural reproduction of appearance of early Scythian “king” and “queen”. As a result it was possible to make from obscure for non-specialists of biological material evident informative museum grants: the graphic and sculptural portraits executed accompanied by attributes of corresponding periods.

Thus, artefacts of Scythian -Siberian cultural generality have essentially filled up the paleoanthropological collection on the theme of Scythians of Tyva.
