During the month, the holidays - Oraza Bayrams, Victory Day in the War of 1941-1945, the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Carpet Day, the Day of the City of Ashgabat and the Last Bell Day will be widely commemorated in the country by relevant cultural events.
Traditionally, on May 9, on the occasion of Victory Day, flowers are laid at the monuments of the Halk hakydasy (People's Memory) Memorial Complex.
Flowers will be laid at the Constitution Monument and the Main Flag of the country on May 18.As it is known, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Turkmenistan.
A set of events is timed to coincide with the significant date, which will be held in the capital and in the velayat squares.
On the occasion of the Turkmen Carpet Day, it is planned to hold a traditional exhibition of carpets and rugs at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country on May 29.
On the same day, the 22nd meeting of the World Association of Turkmen Carpet Connoisseurs and a festive concert will be held at the Ashgabat song and music center.
By the Day of the City in the capital, the XXI international universal exhibition “White City Ashgabat” is traditionally organized, it will be held on May 25-26 in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On the occasion of this holiday, on May 24, a solemn concert will be held in front of the monument “My White City Ashgabat”.
The Ashgabat Song and Music Center and the square in front of the State Circus will hold concerts dedicated to the Ashgabat City Day and the Last Bell holiday on May 25.
The country's theater groups will show their productions as part of the Turkmen Theater Arts festival on May 21-25.
