Over 19 thousand spectators attended Ahal’s first home match in the 2023/24 AFC Champions League

The match "Ahal" - "Al-Feikha" in the first round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2023/24 was attended by 19,966 spectators. This was announced during the match, a Turkmenportal correspondent reports.

The teams played at the Ashgabat stadium. The match was officiated by a Jordanian team of referees led by Adam Mahadmeh. Ahal won with a score of 1:0. The winning goal was scored by the captain of Ahal, Elman Tagaev, against the Al-Feikh goalkeeper in the 51st minute.

During the post-match conference, the head coach of the Saudi club, Vuk Rashovich, highly appreciated the support of the Turkmen fans, who were the 12th player for Ahal today.

Let us note that in the next round of the Champions League, AFC Ahal will go to visit Al-Ain (UAE), and Al-Feikha will host the Uzbek Pakhtakor. Both meetings will take place on October 3.
