Partnership between Balkan Velayat and Kazakhstan’s Mangistau Region is discussed in Avaza

Further expansion of trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Balkan Velayat in Turkmenistan and Mangistau region in the Republic of Kazakhstan was included in the agenda of the meeting with the participation of the representatives of government structures, industrial and business circles, art personnel of friendly countries in Avaza National tourism zone.

Big delegation chaired by Head of Mangistau Region E. Tugjanov arrived in Turkmenbashy to participate in the forum organized under the realization of relative Agreement signed in 2014 between the administrations of Caspian coast regions of two states.

The delegation includes the top management and leading specialists of different departments and offices on innovative development, state incomes, entrepreneurship and trade, tourism, physical training and sports, culture, Assembly Secretariat of Kazakhstan Nations, historical museum, regional philharmonic centre, administration heads of Aktau and Karakiyan region as well as deputies of local people’s council, representatives of more than 30 big companies, entrepreneurship structures and mass media.

It included “National Company “Social-Entrepreneurial Corporation “Caspiy” Joint Stock Venture, Aktau Seaport Special Economic Zone, Aktau International Airport, “Mangistaumunaigaz” and “KazAzot”, Kyryk Port LLP, Aktau Transformer Plant, Askar Milling Factory. Aktau Sweet Factory, Beyneu Grain Facility, “AktauKeramzit”, “MAEK-Kazatomprom”, Atakemen Regional Entrepreneurship Chamber, “Zhamal-ai LTD”, “Bereket-F LPP and many others.

During the meeting, the partners from Kazakhstan were presented with the perspectives of rapidly growing Turkmenistan market as well as with large-scale projects including in industrialization and import substitution. Special attention was paid to the measures taken on the Government level for stimulation of national manufacturers and foreign investors.

Introducing their companies, Kazakhstan businessmen highlighted the willingness to active participation in joint projects of national and regional importance, which favourable conditions are made by complementarity of the economies of Balkan Velayat and Mangistau Region.

The sides shared the opinions on conditions and perspectives of bilateral trade and economic relations and made specific proposals on diversification of traditional cooperation in such priority directions as fuel and energy sector, transport and communication sphere, production of construction materials, trade, agriculture, textile, chemical and food industry.

The achievements of goods producers of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were visually demonstrated by joint exhibition, which exposition presented the production of Turkmenbashy Refinery Complex and Garabogazsulphat Production Association, private and government constriction, agricultural, textile, confectionary facilities working in Balkan Velayat.

Deeper discussion of interesting joint projects and further directions of cooperation was held during bilateral meetings of the guests with the representatives of Turkmenbashy City Administration, profile ministries and departments and Turkmenistan entrepreneurs.

Kazakhstan delegation familiarized with the course of construction of new Turkmenbashy International Seaport and with the work of fishery complex of Hazar Balyk Open Joint Stock Venture working in administration centre of Turkmenbashy etrap.

Friendly futsal match was held in Avaza sport complex between the sportsmen of Balkan velayat and Mangistau youth team.

Big joint concert of folk bands, popular artist, and national songs and music performers of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan was held in cultural and sport complex of Turkmenbashy Refinery Complex. The exhibition of folk applied art of two friendly countries was organized in the complex as well.
