In the same aspect the Turkmen group of national horse games “Galkynysh” actively popularises in the world the cultural heritage of Turkmen people, presented to the world unsurpassed perfection of Akhalteke horses.
The performance of the group is also a equestrian theatre, an alloy of sports and high art.Trainers consider that with thoroughbred horses to work is easier they are clever, sensitive and can be obedient if to find with them common language.
And it is especially fair in the relation to Akhalteke horses one of the most ancient and thoroughbred breeds of horses.They proved time and again it on various international platforms, invariably causing a storm of delights and applause of spectators.
The group “Galkynysh” working with Akhalteke horses was created in 2007 and in six years became the real sensation in the debut at the world festival of circus art “Idol”. Since then actors of the group people and horses repeatedly won at prestigious international competitions and festivals.
Among them XVI International festival of circus art in the Italian city Latina where Turkmen equestrians in 2014 were awarded the main prize of competition the Gold Cup, and also other awards and the diploma of Ahalteke association of Italy.
Next year at the International festival of circus art in the city of Zhuhai of province Guangdong (China) dzhigits of the group of national horse games “Galkynysh” were recognised the best among 32 well-known circus troupes from 22 countries of the world and were awarded the main prize the Gold Cup.
Turkmen equestrians became winners and owners of the main prize of the World Games of Nomads in Kyrgyzstan in 2016 and won a gold figurine of “Gaetano” at I International festival of circus art On the Fontanka in St.-Petersburg in 2018.
In 2019 at the invitation of the king of Bahrain the delegation as a part of members of the group of national horse games “Galkynysh” and Turkmen dzhigits took part in the opening ceremony of the international cattle-breeding exhibition which annually passes in the Bahrain capital ― the city of Manama.
During the ceremony in which King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, members of the government, honoured guests from the Arabian states took part, equestrians of “Galkynysh” with triumph showed national horsemanship.
As marked the mass-media, the performance of Turkmen dzhigits together with Bahrain equestrians, bearing flags of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Turkmenistan became an ornament of celebratory action.
Acting on magnificent Akhalteke racers, group “Galkynysh” showed the highest level of horsemanship. In enchanting show of the glorified team a special delight and a prolonged applause of public caused the group best-known program ― many-tier acrobatic pyramid of dzhigits built on backs of two racers galloping in circle.
Triumphal performances of group “Galkynysh” in Bahrain and the Chinese people’s Republic, brilliant tour rounds in Ukraine, Belarus and other countries testify to the huge interest in Turkmen racers and national school of riding.
In the International Akhalteke horse-racing complex near Ashkhabad where all conditions for practice of various kinds of equestrian sport, carrying out of competitions of international level, and also for the maintenance of racers according to high modern standards, there is a special arena for trainings of the group of national horse games “Galkynysh” .
Skill of members of the group, their big successes play stimulating role in horse breeding development in the country, evoke the love of the youth for sports, horses, promote continuity of horse-breeding traditions of people.
The contribution of the group to glorification of Akhalteke racers in the world was noted on the eve of 2020 with the award by the president of the country in the amount of 50 thousand US dollars.
