Popularity of Kazakhstan among foreign tourists increased by 11%

Kazakhstan attracts an increasing number of foreign tourists, the MIR 24 portal writes. Since the beginning of this year, the tourist flow to the country has grown by 11 percent compared to last year, most of the tourists are from Russia, Turkey and India.

Among the entertainment that Kazakhstan can offer to foreign guests are folk customs, traditional life and cooking, historical sights - the remains of ancient settlements and medieval buildings, unique natural landscapes - from sandy deserts in the west to the taiga forests of East Kazakhstan.

Fans of extreme recreation are offered rafting on mountain rivers, paragliding, helicopter rides. Of great interest to foreign tourists are trips to the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

Among the cities of the country, the capital Astana, as well as Almaty, Shymkent, seaside Aktau are of the greatest interest to foreign tourists.
