On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by Turkmenistan, UNICEF together with the Turkmenaragatnashyk (Turkmensvyaz) agency issued commemorative postage stamps.

As reported on the UNICEF website, these commemorative stamps were issued on June 1 - International Children's Day - and became an important milestone in Turkmenistan's commitment to protecting and promoting the rights of every child.

On the same day, UNICEF in Turkmenistan, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, organized a special event for children at the UN building in Ashgabat.

As part of the event, the participants had the opportunity to write heartfelt letters to the children of the future, in which they expressed their vision and their dreams. These letters were sealed, framed and displayed prominently in the UNICEF office with the intention that the children of the future would open them in 2033.
