Preparation to the World track cycling and sambo championships is discussed

Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry has organized video conference session with President of the International Cycling Union (UCI) David Lappartient and President of the International Sambo Federation Vasiliy Shestakov.

Representatives of the Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, National Olympic Committee took part in online talks from Turkmen side.

Opportunities of organization and conduct of the World Track Cycling Championship in 2021 have been discussed during online meeting with the UCI President David Lappartient. In this context, mutual intent to activation of cooperation has been expressed.

Aspects of organization of the World Sambo Championship have been discussed during online talks with President of the World Sambo Federation Vasiliy Shestakov.In particular, sides have exchanged the views on renewed Agreement on organizational issues of the championship.

The sides have also focused on organization of working visits of technical representatives of the Federation to our country for coordination of preparation to the tournament.

In addition, implementation of the Working Plan for preparation of Turkmen sportsmen to the World Sambo Championship and perspective of expansion of the partnership between International Sambo Federation and National Martial Art Federation as well as National Olympic Committee has been reviewed.
