On December 7, 2020, in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the presentation of the book of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Traditions of Turkmen Statehood”, published in Ukrainian language, took place, informs the web-site of the MFA of Turkmenistan.
This book, published on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, has become a unique gift and support for Ukrainian readers, marking the high level of development of Turkmen-Ukrainian relations.
The presentation was attended by chief editors of printed publications, rectors, teaching staff and students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the Turkmen media.
In addition, prominent scientists of Ukraine and representatives of the Ukrainian media took part in the event via video conferencing.The participants listened to a number of speeches reflecting the essence of the work.
Rector of the International University of Oil and Gas Sh.Abdrakhmanov, Rector of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A.Niyazov D.Myradov, as well as Editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Türkmen dili" S.Nurberdyev spoke at the event from the Turkmen side.
The Ukrainian side was represented by the Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Turkmenistan A.Goncharov, and then the 2nd Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Turkmenistan E.Grechaniuk presented her speech.
Adviser to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, Co-chairman of the Turkmen-Ukrainian Business Council from the Ukrainian side A.Melnyk, Professor of the Department of Journalism at the Kiev University named after B.Grinchenko, Doctor of Philology N.Vaskiv, as well as the Editor-in-chief of the international magazine “Image.ua” A.Alimova made their presentations via videoconferencing.
All speakers noted the uniqueness of this bright work of the President of Turkmenistan, which reveals the rich spiritual world of the Turkmen people, acquaints readers with cultural features, unique national traditions of the Turkmen people.
The participants noted the features of the book, its important role in promoting national and global values.It was noted that this work reflecting the spirit of humanism and patriotism will become a guide not only for the young Turkmen generation, but also the Ukrainian speaking youth.
Speakers from the Ukrainian side in their speeches especially noted the importance of this work in terms of promoting friendly relations between countries and peoples of the world.It was emphasized that the publication of the book "Traditions of Turkmen Statehood" in the Ukrainian language is also an important link in the development of Turkmen-Ukrainian relations.
It was emphasized that the people of Turkmenistan and Ukraine are united by the strong links of friendship and respect.At the end of the event, the participants of the presentation adopted an Address to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
