President Berdimuhamedov to Attend CIS Summit in St. Petersburg

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will participate in an informal meeting of the heads of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which will take place in St. Petersburg on December 28, the press service of the Administration of Russian President announced on Friday.

The informal CIS meeting will be held on the initiative of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The meeting will also be attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The capital of Kazakhstan Nur-Sultan will host the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council on October 14, 2022.
