President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for attending the mourning ceremony held in memory of Iran’s late Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and for Turkmenistan’s condolences and support to the Iranian people, THP reported on Thursday.
In his letter, Pezeshkian recalled the words of Iran’s late spiritual Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that “Relations between Iran and Turkmenistan are beyond neighborly ties and are relations of kinship,” noting that the support provided during difficult times would not be forgotten.
Earlier, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Islamic Republic of Iran and attended the mourning ceremony held in memory of the country’s late Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
During the visit, he conveyed condolences and words of sympathy to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on his own behalf and on behalf of the entire Turkmen people.
During the visit, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, also held meetings with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf
