During today's government meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to keep the ongoing measures under control to ensure the abundance of consumer goods and food products in the markets and stores, as well as their prices, the State Information Agency of the country reports.
In this regard, Berdimuhamedov instructed Deputy Prime Minister Chary Gylyjov, together with the other leaders, to analyze the state of exports and imports of goods, specify products Turkmenistan can manufacture, as well as to provide for steps of increasing domestic goods export.
Identifying the ways to solve these tasks, the Turkmen leader focused on the need to expand the system of sales propositions and develop new areas of competitive import-substituting own production, and to widely use the possibilities of domestic entrepreneurs for this purpose.
At the same time, Berdimuhamedov assured that the state will continue providing all possible support to small and medium-sized businesses, which have become "a key factor in developing trade sector, creating new jobs, as well as ensuring food abundance in the country from its own resources."
