President of Turkmenistan Holds Series of Meetings With World Leaders

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Thursday held meetings in Ashgabat with heads of state and government who arrived to attend an international forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, according to state media.

Among the attendees were President of São Tomé and Príncipe Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, President of Iraq Abdul Latif Rashid, President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister of Eswatini Russell Dlamini, Prime Minister of Myanmar Nyo Soe, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Senior executives of major foreign companies, including Toyo Engineering Corporation and Daewoo Engineering & Construction, also arrived in Ashgabat.

The sides discussed key areas of international cooperation, including peace and confidence-building, trade and economic partnership, energy security, cultural and humanitarian ties and cooperation within the United Nations. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to dialogue and expressed readiness to continue joint efforts to address global challenges.

Following the talks, the officials voiced their intention to expand bilateral relations and maintain constructive partnership.
