President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting via the digital system.During the session, priority issues of state policy were reviewed, and a report was presented on the program of cultural and socially significant events scheduled for May 2026.
Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Seyidova reported on preparations for celebrations dedicated to important dates in the national calendar.May promises to be rich in events reflecting the motto of the year—“Independent Neutral Turkmenistan the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horse[s”—as well as preparations for the 35th anniversary of the sacred independence of the Motherland.
Next month, the country will solemnly and widely celebrate Victory Day, Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat City Day, and the Turkmen Carpet Day.As part of a series of creative competitions, the final rounds of the “Çalsana, bagşy!” music contest will be held in Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as in the Ahal and Balkan velayats.
Within the framework of cooperation with TÜRKSOY, a concert titled “TÜRKSOY Opera Days” is planned for May, which will further strengthen international cultural and humanitarian ties.Special attention in the report was given to Constitution and State Flag Day.
The holiday program will traditionally include flower-laying ceremonies at the Constitution Monument and the country’s Main Flagpole, as well as a festive concert at the Ashgabat Song and Music Center.
