President of Turkmenistan Receives Çalik Holding and Mitsubishi Executives

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Ahmet Çalık, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Çalik Holding, in Balkan province as part of a working visit.

The president drew attention to energy projects, noting that the combined-cycle power plant currently under construction on the Turkmen Caspian coast would allow electricity exports across the Caspian Sea to neighboring countries, including Türkiye, and from there to other nations.

He also emphasized the significance of the urea production complex under construction in Balkan province, with a capacity of 1.155 million tons per year, for the country’s economic development through diversification. He expressed confidence that Çalik Holding would continue implementing major state projects in Turkmenistan efficiently, introducing new technologies and equipment that meet modern standards.

He expressed confidence that the urea complex, whose foundation is being laid in Turkmenbashi district, would make a meaningful contribution to strengthening the country’s economic power.

Eisaku Ito expressed gratitude to the president for the favorable conditions created for effective work and assured that Mitsubishi Heavy Industries would fulfill its contractual obligations on time and to high standards.

President Berdimuhamedov noted that special attention is being paid to production efficiency, environmental compliance, and the introduction of the latest scientific and technological advancements at construction sites in Turkmenistan, and he wished Eisaku Ito success in his work.
