In the course of the Cabinet session held on 7 July the Finance Minister Mukhammetguly Mukhammedov made a progress report. According to the Minister, the finance and budget sector is not experiencing any problems.
“As of 1 July the state budget’s revenues were executed by 115,9 % whereas the expenditure by 91,2%. From January to June 76,7 percent of the budget’s funds were allocated to finance the social sphere.
The execution of the local budget’s revenues amounted to 114,6 % whereas the expenditure 91,3%.
“Salaries, retirement allowances, government allowances and student stipends were funded in full and in a timely manner”, the state information agency TDH quotes the minister’s progress report.
At the same time President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov was discontent with the ministry performance and stated that “the level of the ministry’s organization fails to meet the specified requirements”.
The head of the state instructed to undertake urgent measures to eliminate the shortcomings and relieved the minister from the post in connection with assuming a new post”.Deputy minister Gochmyrad Myradov was appointed as a replacement.
