President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was presented with a certificate of a member of the Milli Gengesh Halk Maslahaty, a chamber of a new national parliament.
Gulmyrat Myradov, Chairman of the Central Election and Referendum Commission in Turkmenistan, handed over the certificate to the head of the state.
The President emphasized that the first elections of members of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh, held on March 28, became a historical event in the socio-political life of the country.
The head of the state said that he accepts the certificate as a sign of the highest trust of his compatriots.Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to all, who actively participated in the holding the election campaign.
Establishment of the two-chamber structure of National Parliament will provide favorable conditions for broader representation of the interests of all communities of the Turkmen society.
