On September 15-17, the International Congress “New Markets along the Ring Road and the Middle Corridor” was held in Istanbul. Representatives of transport departments and leading transport and logistics companies from 8 countries, including Turkmenistan, took part in it, the press service of the Turkmen embassy told Turkmenportal.
At the congress, issues of developing ties in the field of cargo transportation and strengthening trade and economic ties between countries were discussed.
The Day of Turkmenistan was held as part of the congress. Representatives of the Turkmen delegation spoke about the transport diplomacy carried out by Turkmenistan and its role in ensuring economic and industrial progress not only in the Central Asian region, but also far beyond its borders.
Also, representatives of the Turkmen delegation spoke about the activities of Turkmenistan in the development of international cooperation in the oil and gas, food, agricultural, construction, industrial, innovation and other fields.
As part of the congress, with the organizational support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ankara and the Consulate General in Istanbul, pavilions dedicated to economic development and the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people were erected.
The pavilions of Turkmenistan, where the achievements of the country, as well as the glorious history and original culture of the Turkmen people were presented, aroused particular interest among the participants and guests of the International Congress.
