Talks with representatives of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) with participation of heads and representatives of Ashgabat city administration, ministries of culture and foreign affairs were held in the capital town hall in video conference format.
On May 1 this year, the capital of Turkmenistan has become a member of the World Tourism Cities Federation.Taking this fact into account, priority directions of cooperation aimed at development of national tourism industry and use of huge potential of white-marble Ashgabat, which is by right is recognized as a pearl of Central Asia, have been discussed.
It was mentioned that joining of the WTF would allow actively promoting tourism capabilities of our country in the world arena due to its unique historical and architectural, cultural and natural attractions, which popularity grows among numerous foreign travellers.
