One of the many traditions of celebrating the New Year in Turkmenistan is the presentation of gifts on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to orphans.Such a festive ceremony took place today at the Dovletliler Koshgi Palace in Ashgabat.
Its name from Turkmen can be roughly translated as the palace of the children of the state, that is, children under the care of the state.
And it really does not look like an orphanage or an orphanage either in its external form or in its internal content. The state takes care of children left without parents, creating all the conditions for them to find a large and friendly family, to feel needed by this family society.
Among the pupils of “Dovletliler koshgi” there are winners of the Gulbab children’s music award, winners of various nationwide creative competitions and school Olympiads, the state competition “Altyn Asyr” for the President of Turkmenistan award, winners of festivals held abroad.
Among them, for example, the well-known dance ensemble “Joshgun”, through which many generations have passed not a single big festival in the country can do without it.
Today, the heads of the country’s education system came to visit the children, congratulated and solemnly presented the boys and girls with gift sets from the head of state.
The sets include items of clothing made from natural fabrics, including warm winter clothes, and “sweet” New Year’s gifts.
Public organizations of the country and the capital’s mayor’s office also prepared their gifts for the pupils of the Palace.
The ceremony took place with the participation of Santa Claus Ayaz Baba and his granddaughter Garpamyk at the New Year tree in the large hall, where a festive performance was also held, prepared by the young talents of the Palace.
