Queen's song legacy could be sold for 1 billion dollars

Record company Universal Music Group plans to purchase a complete catalog of the songs of the legendary band Queen, according to CNN.

If the deal goes through, it will be worth 1 billion dollars and break the record set by singer Bruce Springsteen, who sold the rights to his songs to Sony Music Entertainment in 2021 for 500 million dollars.

Such a high price for the song heritage of the Queen group is explained by the success of the film “Bohemian Rhapsody” about the history of the group and its lead singer Freddie Mercury.
