On January 22, within the framework of a state visit to Qatar, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the players of the national team, reports NIAT “Khovar”.
During the meeting, the Tajik leader wished the Tajikistan team to win today's match with the Lebanon team at the Asian Football Cup.
Let us remind that today in the third round of the group stage of the 2023 Asian Cup in group “A” the Tajikistan team will meet with the Lebanon team. The match will be held at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha and will start at 20:00 Ashgabat time.
In the first round, the Tajikistan team played a draw with the Chinese team (0:0), and in the second round they lost to the Qatar team with a score of 0:1.
Two teams from each group, as well as the four best third-place teams, will advance to the 1/8 finals of the 2023 Asian Cup.
