Regina Irgasheva from Turkmenistan, a fourth-year student of the Medical Institute of the Mari State University (MarSU) with a degree in General Medicine, made it to the final of the All-Russian competition “Student of the Year. Physicians”, reported on the website kazan.tmconsulate.gov.tm.
The competition, which started in October, is a special open track of the Russian national award “Student of the Year” - a joint project of the Russian Union of Youth and the presidential platform “Russia - a country of opportunities”. This is the first time such a competition is being held.
The participants in the competition were medical students from higher educational institutions with particular successes and achievements in the medical field: scientific works, research, articles, patented works.
Regina is a holder of certificates for victories in various events, and not only intra-university ones.She is actively involved in volunteering, is the deputy regional coordinator of the All-Russian public movement “Volunteers-doctors” in Mari El and the coordinator of the direction of popularization of personnel donation.
In her free time, she helps at the Republican Blood Transfusion Station.

The final of the competition will be held from 26 to 30 November in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. On November 19, students who are among the 100 finalists will receive a schedule of assignments for further participation. We wish Regina a victory!
