Results of Turkmenistan’s Socio-Economic Development for the First Five Months of 2026 Reviewed

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital communication system.The main item on the agenda was the review of the performance of the national economy's sectors during the period from January to May of the current year.

During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov presented a report on the macroeconomic indicators for the first five months of 2026.According to the report, Turkmenistan maintained steady economic growth during the reporting period, with the gross domestic product (GDP) increasing by 6.3 percent.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that the strong GDP growth figures demonstrate the high effectiveness of the state programs currently being implemented.As the head of state emphasized, large-scale reforms covering key sectors of the economy are being successfully carried out across the country, while the systematic modernization of production industries continues.

The President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to keep the implementation of all planned measures under strict control and to continue the consistent development of the national economy in full accordance with the adopted state programs.
