Retail Turnover in Turkmenistan Increases by 11.1%

The retail turnover in Turkmenistan grew by 11.1% in January-April of the current year compared to the same period last year, announced Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Economic and Financial Affairs, Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, during the regular online session of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.

As reported by Turkmenistan's official media, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that over the first four months of the current year, the volume of manufactured products increased by 11.4% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

According to the report, the revenue side of the State Budget was fulfilled at the level of 102.6%, while the expenditure side reached 97.4%. In January-April of the current year, the wages at large and medium-sized enterprises in the country increased by 10.4% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, emphasized the need to continue the work aimed at further increasing the indicators achieved during January-April of the current year. The Head of State instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to continue implementing programs to strengthen the country's economic potential and improve the socio-economic standard of living of the population.

During the government meeting, the results of the work conducted in the economic sectors over the first four months of the current year were also discussed, along with several other issues.
