Rostec has delivered helicopters for the International Burn Centre in Ashkhabad

The Kazan helicopter plant of JSC Russian Helicopters (which enters the Rostec State Corporation) has delivered to Turkmenistan the first helicopter Ansat, and also heavy multi-purpose Mi-17-1V.

Both will be used in the new International Burn Centre for medical evacuation of victims and seriously ill patients, as informed in the release of the press-service of the holding.

The contract on delivery of helicopter Ansat and Mi-17-1V was signed between the Kazan helicopter plant and Turkmen airlines agency on March 31, 2020.According to the contract both helicopters are delivered to Turkmenistan in a universal variant of execution with medical modules and medical equipment on-board, in addition provided fire safety sets.

Salons of the helicopters are equipped by conditioners.

The helicopter Mi-17-1V is installed with additional fuel tanks for increase in range of flights. It is also equipped with an on-board side boom with a winch (SLG-300), landing -search light and an external load sling for 4 tons for transportation of large-sized cargo.

Delivery of first Ansat to Turkmenistan is a major landmark in development of export potential of the Kazan helicopter plant.We hope that high flight -technical characteristics of helicopter Ansat will be appreciated, and this delivery will serve as a starting point for our further cooperation.

Both Ansat and helicopters of a series Mi-8/17 have perfectly demonstrated themselves in performance of sanitary aviation works in Russia.We are glad to share our experience with our colleagues from Turkmenistan and to deliver them the advanced technology, managing director of the Kazan Helicopter Plant Alexey Belykh noted.

Within the limits of the contract with Turkmen airlines in the aviation educational centre of KHP 30 pilots and experts of technical structure of the maintaining organization were trained. The program included theoretical and practical preparation, including practice on a new training apparatus of helicopter Ansat. Cadets have successfully finished the training and have received certificates.

The Kazan helicopter plant has a long-term history of cooperation with Turkmenistan. Since 2009 to 2015 11 helicopters manufactured by KHP have been delivered to Turkmenistan.
