Russia plans to ban the import of plastic goods

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposes to introduce a ban on the import of disposable plastic tableware and is considering the possibility of limiting its production, writes the “Izvestia” newspaper.

Cotton swabs, disposable tableware, containers, cups and other plastic products may be banned.

It is noted that in total there are 28 goods on the import ban list. They are proposed to be replaced with biodegradable counterparts, as well as products made of glass, paper and wood.
