By order of the state association “Turkmenhaly” (“Turkmencarpet”) 4 new workshops will be opened for the enterprises of artistic carpet weaving, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Their construction is being completed, and they will be put into operation in the Bakharden etrap of the Ahal velayat, the Gubadag etrap of the Dashoguz velayat, in Bayramali (Mary velayat) and the Halach etrap of Lebap, in accordance with the programs for expanding and improving the production and technical base of the Association and the integrated development of regions.
Currently, the structure of “Turkmenhaly” includes 8 enterprises of artistic carpet weaving with more than 100 branches and workshops throughout Turkmenistan. More than 5 thousand carpet makers are involved in production.
The state association “Turkmenhaly” is the main supplier abroad of Turkmen handmade carpets made of pure wool.
