Saudi Arabia has submitted a bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has submitted an application to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034, as reported on its official website, writes “Championat”.

“Today, Monday, October 9, we submitted a letter of intent and signed the FIFA declaration of bidding to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup is historic and reflects the country's desire to open up new football opportunities and support the development of the game in all corners of the globe.

Inspired by social and economic transformation, as well as the country's long-standing love of the beautiful game, Saudi Arabia's bid for the 2034 World Cup aims to welcome the world to the kingdom and promises to deliver an exciting and memorable event for fans”, - the SAFF press office wrote.

Earlier, the Football Federation of Turkmenistan announced on its official website that it would support Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034.

Let us remind that the last World Cup in 2022 was held in Qatar. The winner was the Argentina team, which beat France in the final (3:3, penalties 4:2).

The next World Cup will be held in 2026, hosted by the USA, Mexico and Canada.
