SCRMET: $19.4 Million Transactions in Second Week of January

In the second week of January, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) recorded transactions surpassing $19.4 million, the press service of the SCRMET reported on Monday.

Foreign buyers from UAE, Türkiye, Scotland, Afghanistan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan purchased polypropylene and aviation kerosene produced by Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern.

UAE traders also purchased urea from Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) while Türkiye, Pakistan, and Kyrgyzstan secured various products including cotton fabric, yarn, men's shirts, licorice roots, rhizomes, and raw silk.

In the domestic market, local buyers acquired polypropylene, illuminating kerosene, base oil, and oil road bitumen from Türkmennebit, as well as handmade carpets, bed linen sets, and raw silk totaling over 28.9 million manats.

The week witnessed 33 registered deals on the SCRMET.
