SDG Club Opened at Turkmenistan’s Architecture and Construction Institute

A ceremonial opening of the Scientific and Creative Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Club was held at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, timed to coincide with International Children's Day.

During the ceremony, representatives of the institute delivered speeches.It was emphasized that this event, which opened a new chapter in the university’s scientific and creative life, would contribute to expanding the knowledge and achievements of students and young professionals.

The club’s main goals and objectives were presented in detail, and the importance of this scientific and creative initiative for young people was highlighted.The institute’s leadership warmly congratulated the institute community on the opening of the SDG Club, and special badges were presented to its new members.

As part of the event, the institute hosted educational and entertainment activities for children and young people.Particularly memorable and impressive highlight was an interactive educational session attended by more than 30 children of various ages and their parents, who included faculty members and institute staff, as well as teachers from the Department of Languages, members of the newly established SDG Club, and other guests.

Taking into account the children’s age groups, key information about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Sustainable Development Goals was presented in an accessible and engaging manner in both Turkmen and English.

Participants also watched specially prepared educational videos about children’s rights.Following the theoretical portion of the session, members of the SDG Club organized fun interactive games that helped the children easily understand and remember the topics discussed.

At the conclusion of the event, participants emphasized the significance and effectiveness of the meeting and thanked the organizers for the vivid emotions and memorable experiences they provided.A commemorative photo session was also held to mark the occasion.
