Search operation at Boeing 737 crash site suspended

In China, at the crash site of a Boeing 737 passenger plane of China Eastern Airlines, due to rain search and rescue operations were suspended.

As informs RIA Novosti, it is planned to resume the operation to search for missing persons and flight recorders in the future, and also carry out drainage work. The need for the latter is explained by the fact, that local soil absorbs a lot of water and there is a possibility of a landslide in the search area, that can complicate the course of rescue operations.

Also, it is noted that at the crash site of the aircraft there is still a smell of fuel.

A Boeing 737 of China Eastern Airlines following the route from Kunming to Guangzhou crashed on March 21 in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China. In accordance with confirmed data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, there were 123 passengers and nine crew members on the passenger plane board.

The possible reasons of the liner crash, which has been in operation since 2015, are not yet known.
