Apartment blocks in the town of Seidi in Lebap velayat have no heating supply.Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that residents have repeatedly filed complaints to house administrations and the khyakimlik’s office.
If there is no funding to replace worn-out pipes and repair the heating system in the municipal budget, residents have expressed their willingness to partially cover maintenance and repair expenses.
Local residents say that this winter is extremely cold and there is heating supply. Thus, they have to heat their houses and apartment with electric heaters or air conditioners that have a heating function.
These devices consume a lot of energy, which, in turn, causes discontent of the Electric Inspection Service.According to Seidi residents, inspectors occasionally go door to door to fine residents for “overusing electricity”, despite the fact that there are no consumption limits.
Residents of privately-owned houses usually use gas-burning boiler houses but this year they have trouble using them because of poor gas pressure.
In the meantime, Turkmen residents have received text messages from the State Fire Safety Service with a request to follow precautionary and safety measures when using heaters.
It should be emphasized that cracks in heating pipes сaused by their wear and tear occur even in new residential districts of Ashgabat.
Since autumn 2020 President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov has repeatedly instructed government officials and heads of the provinces to ensure trouble-free heating and electric power supply. The post Seidi residents who have no heating supply are willing to partially cover pipe repair expenditures first appeared on Chronicles of Turkmenistan.
