Turkmenistan traditionally celebrates the Turkmen Carpet Day on a grand scale. On this occasion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed congratulations to the carpet weavers and compatriots.
Today, the traditions of national carpet weaving are on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and this fact clearly indicates that the products of our skilled craftswomen are recognized as man-made monuments of beautiful art.
The congratulatory Address also notes that the XXIII Conference of the World Association of Connoisseurs of the Turkmen Carpet “Turkmen Carpet the Soul of Turkmens” is starting today.
