Serdar Berdimuhamedov Meets Foreign Ministers of Central Asian Countries

On Wednesday, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met in Ashgabat with the foreign ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev, Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, and Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, who had arrived to participate in the 16th Central Asia+South Korea Cooperation Forum.

Meeting with Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Murat Nurtleu discussed a wide range of aspects of bilateral relations, which are based on solid traditions of friendship and good neighbourhoods. The transport and logistics sector and energy were identified as the main areas of cooperation.

Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev:

The head of state and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasised the progressive nature of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. Trade and economic cooperation, transport and transit sectors were named as the main areas of cooperation.

Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin:

Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Sirojiddin Muhriddin discussed bilateral ties based on equality, mutual respect, and trust. They noted that the interstate dialogue is based on the ancient traditions of friendship and good neighbourhoods of the Turkmen and Tajik nations.

Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov:

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underscored the importance of trade and economic ties within the multi-faceted Turkmen-Uzbek contacts.In this context, he specifically highlighted the positive dynamics observed in bilateral trade turnover and the active interaction in crucial sectors, including energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, and others.

These developments signify the strong commitment of both Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to foster and strengthen their economic cooperation.

On the same day, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Park Jin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.During the meeting, the parties emphasised that strengthening trade and economic partnership is one of the critical areas of interstate cooperation and the successful work of Korean companies in the oil and gas and transport sectors of Turkmenistan's economy.

In addition, the parties confirmed their willingness to continue productive business cooperation.

The 16th Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum will occur November 1-2. The forum will discuss intensifying partnerships in various areas, including energy, digital technologies, economic security, tourism and healthcare.
