Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Ashgabat

Talks began in Ashgabat between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a two-day official visit, the State News Agency reports.

Upon completion of the official ceremony, the parties will hold a meeting in a narrow format, after which the negotiations will continue in an expanded format with the participation of members of government delegations of the two countries.

It is expected that the President of Turkmenistan and the head of the Hungarian Government will discuss issues of intensifying bilateral ties in areas of mutual interest. The parties will pay special attention to such promising areas as energy, transport, pharmaceuticals, the textile industry, investment activities, agriculture and water management.

Following the results of the Turkmen-Hungarian talks at the highest level, it is planned to sign a package of bilateral documents.
