The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region of the Russian Federation Alexey Texler, arrived in Ashgabat in order to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the country.
A. Texler noted that he was very pleased to visit Turkmenistan, with which the Chelyabinsk region has long-standing friendship and fruitful partnership, which is dynamically developing both in the field of economic projects and in the humanitarian sphere, reported in today’s newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.
The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the special importance attached to the establishment of fruitful cooperation with large regions of the Russian Federation, including the Chelyabinsk region. In this aspect, it is advisable to consider the possibility of expanding cooperation in the field of design and construction of metallurgical and machine-building plants in Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen side is ready to supply products of the oil and gas industry, textile industry, carpets, and agricultural products to the Chelyabinsk region.
Particular emphasis in the conversation was placed on interaction in the cultural, scientific, sports and educational fields, as well as within the framework of social projects.
