Beginning of March is almost one year, as the plant for the production of high-octane gasoline A-98 (Euro-5 standard) put into operation at the Seydi oil refinery.
This brand fuel is characterized by a lower content of sulfur and polycyclic aromatic carbohydrates, which increases the time and quality of the car engines and significantly reduces harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
The American company Westport Trading Europe Limited put modern production into operation. The design capacity of the plant is equipped with automatic control system - 500 thousand tons per year, which meets the international standards of production.
A new straight-line petrol of grade 50/180 is delivered to the new facility through pipes. It goes through complex processes of heating and cooling, the selection of unnecessary compounds, mixing with hydrogen and, finally, fuel, brought to high standards, is fed to the commodity and raw materials shop.
All cycles of the technological chain are reflected on the computer displays. In the control center, operators, monitoring the screens around the clock check and, if necessary, make adjustments to the steps of converting straight-run gasoline from oil obtained from the fields in Lebap and Akhal to gasoline of improved quality A-98.
"Forty people work in shifts," said Arslan Bekiyev, plant chief, a graduate of the faculty of chemical engineering of the Kazan Institute of Chemical Technology. - About half of them are specialists with higher education who graduated from universities in our country and abroad.
The commissioning of an installation for the production of Euro-5 gasoline vividly reflects the purposefully carried out in our country of a course for deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials and improvement of the environmental performance of fuels and lubricants derived from it.
This trend contributes to the growth of the operational properties of domestic fuel. The advantages are obvious; the products of the new production in Sadi are supplied to neighboring Afghanistan.
This became possible after the opening by the end of 2016 the first stage of the international steel trunk Atamyrat-Ymamnazar-Akin (IRA).
The modern plant for the production of road bitumen from the fuel oil produced at the enterprise was launched three years ago at the Seidi oil refinery. Its designed capacity is over 37 thousand tons of high-quality import-substituting products.
It will be continued the course on the innovative way of development of the Seydi oil refinery within the framework of the Program of social and economic development of Turkmenistan for 2018-2024.
