Subsidiary enterprise of the State oil company of Azerbaijan SOCAR Trading received tender on purchasing of oil in Turkmenistan, procured from Kiyanly production field by Petronas company. It was reported by “Nebit gaz” electronic newspaper.
The contract is signed for two-year period and can be extended in future. During two years SOCAR Trading will purchase nearly 2 million tons of crude oil.
Turkmen oil is planned to export via main oil pipeline Baku Tbilisi Jeyhun. SOCAR transports Turkmen oil throughout the Caspian sea on tanks.
We remind that recently SOCAR Trading has won tender of Eni Turkmenistan on purchasing of nearly 500 thousand tons of Turkmen oil in 2021.
