South Africa hit by heavy snow for the first time in 40 years

The port city of Cape Town is blanketed in snow. For some it became a winter wonderland, but for others it became pure chaos, reports Times Live.

Before the cold snap, a storm raged across much of the coast, leaving several people missing. Forecasters declared an “orange” level of weather danger.

Heavy rain and wind added to the snowfall. The possibility of flooding cannot be ruled out.
