Special attention to special children: treatment, rehabilitation and healing tea

On the eve of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Health-improving Education and Training Complex organized a pleasant event. A phyto bar was opened there.

“Telling the children about the benefits of tea and herbal infusions, we refer to the book by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Tea: Medicine and Inspiration”, which summarizes the information about the origin and history of this miraculous drink, its types and methods of brewing, and effects on the human body”, Deputy Director for Clinical Care Gulnabat Dovletsahatova said.

“Children asked a lot of questions about the taste and healing benefits of various types of tea and we decided: nothing could be better than tasting and personal feelings.

Therefore, we decided to open a phyto-bar, the menu of which includes fifteen varieties of this healthy drink. For example, tea with lemon, sage, chamomile, mountain grass, rosehip, mint, etc.”

In the phyto-bar, we met four guys. Boys and girls, despite their age they are six years old, looked like experts in tea drinking. They really enjoyed the healing and fragrant drink that strengthens the immune system. We asked what health problems they have.

“These children were admitted to the centre three years ago with heterophthalmia. Our ophthalmologist managed to almost completely fix the defect, but there were some vision problems. At present, these children take the vision correction treatment”, says Gulnabat Dovletsakhatova.

There are about 600 children with disabilities of different age in the health-improving complex. There are three kindergartens and four schools for them.

The centre is supplied with the most advanced medical equipment to provide a wide range of medical services.

The health-improving centre in Ashgabat (as well as the complexes in all regions of the country) resembles a mini-city: a clean modern city with children's playgrounds and bright flower gardens.

The atmosphere of goodness, love, care and positive energy reigns in it. 318 specialists, working in the centre, help children with disabilities to develop their unlimited abilities, educate them in willpower, teach them how to overcome illnesses steadily, and give them confidence in a happy future.
