In the center of London on Trafalgar Square, an equestrian statue of Queen Elizabeth II may appear. The corresponding initiative is being discussed by members of the British Cabinet together with representatives of Buckingham Palace, reports trend.az.

The monument to the queen can take one of the four plinths installed at the corners of Trafalgar Square in the early 40s of the XIX century. At present time, there is only one full-length statue of Elizabeth II in the UK, installed on the territory of Windsor Great Park.

The monument was made 20 years ago on the occasion of the 50th “golden jubilee” of the Queen's reign.
