Student Competition in “Professional Russian” Held at a Turkmen Institute

An online competition in the discipline “Professional Russian” titled “World Languages Paths of Friendship” was held at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan among students of higher educational institutions across the country.

A total of 82 students representing 17 domestic universities took part in the competition.According to the results, 28 students won prizes: 7 first places, 10 second places, and 11 third places.

The seven winners who received first-place awards were Sona Mukhammetberdiyeva (International Horse Breeding Academy named after Aba Annayev), Mammetaman Mammedov and Zokhre Orazberdiyeva (State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan), Merjen Kovusova (International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs), Shajan Serdarov (International University for the Humanities and Development), Ekaterina Obyedkova (Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A.

Niyazov), and Nurmyrat Atakhanov (Turkmen State Institute of Finance).Second- and third-place awards were also received by students from the above-mentioned institutions, as well as from the Institute of Engineering-Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after M.

Garryyev, Turkmen Agricultural Institute, Turkmen State Institute of Culture, International Oil and Gas University named after Y.Kakayev, Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, and the Border Institute of Turkmenistan.

As the organizers noted, the competition helped identify talented young people with a high level of proficiency in Russian related to their professional fields.In addition, the contest widely demonstrated students’ excellent independent work skills and their ability to apply innovative technologies, while also contributing to their development and strengthening their interest in studying foreign languages.
