Some of the children go travelling with their parents, some go in for sports or different arts, study foreign languages, become book lover or erudite person gaining new knowledge on his own.
Thousands of keen and active young Turkmen citizens spend the school holidays in children health-improving centres where all conditions for interesting time are made.
Organizers of school holidays, the Ministry of Education with the support of the Ministry of Culture, other establishments and non-governmental organizations and administration of Archabyl etrap prepared rich programme of the events aimed at wide spectrum of interests and requirements of young holiday makers.
Children puppet theatres contest was one of the bright event of this summer for the hosts of so-called “island of happy childhood” Gyokdere. The kids presented performances on the motifs of national fairy tales. All stage characters were made by young artists themselves.
Jury team was chaired by Honoured Artist of Turkmenistan Annachary Kakabayev, who is one of the leading actors of the State Puppet Theatre.Famous artist did not stand by as a spectator aside from interesting stage findings and kaleidoscope of the emotions, playing up young artists during contest performances, starting direct dialog with characters and spectators as well as gave an improvised master class.
The potpourri of the fragments from favourite screenplays of the puppet theatre performed by the artists of the group became an excellent present for talented children and their supporters.
Young painters from Gyokdere children health-improving centres took part in children painting contest, having reflected the history and modern rhymes of the Motherland.The kids spoke by visual aids on natural, cultural and architectural places of interest, people of different professions, their peers and how they see tomorrow.
Some of works were dedicated to the beauty of Turkmen nature and summer holidays in Gyokdere.
Special emphasis in broad topical palette of presented works was made of preparation of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
The kids express their involvement in coming sports celebration, Ashgabat 2017 Games, by actively going in for sports, taking part in various competitions held among different children centres.Ashgabat Amusement Park of the capital had offsite cultural and public event with participation of young holiday makers from Gyokdere.
Alleys and playground zones was given for few hours to the disposal of the contenders of song and music festival organized by the Ministry of Education, Turkmenistan Youth Organization and the city administration of the capital.

Children bands of the art schools of capital took part in the contest together with young talents from Gyokdere. Visitors of the park became the spectators of bright and original performances and applauded loud to talented artists.
After the concert, the contenders had a walk around picturesque parking zone, had rides and after visited the State Museum of Turkmenistan by the invitation of the Ministry of Culture.
For many of the kids it was the first visit around topical exhibition halls of the largest museum of the country.They showed great interest in familiarization with rare exhibits and learned many interesting things about the history of the nation, its culture and traditions, remarkable milestones of Turkmen statehood.
