“Сustomers” of a Lebap market visited by the former President instructed how to behave

On 9 June Chairperson of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov arrived in Lebap velayat with a working visit.

The former President visited the local bazaar to ask the market supervisors and shop assistants how they ensure there is an abundance of groceries.According to the state information agency TDH, shop assistants did not speak about the problems but thanked the authorities for “creating conditions to provide the abundance of groceries in the domestic market and providing large-scale support to entrepreneurs”.

According to a correspondent of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan”, the role of customers was played by public sector employees, represented by five people from each state-run organization. People had been instructed in advance how to behave and had been obliged to purchase groceries for at least 150 manats at their own expense.
