The popular Russian messenger Telegram has updated the ranking system for channels and groups, writes Buro with reference to information from Telegram creator Pavel Durov. This was done in order to combat spammers.
Now channels and groups based on search query results are automatically ranked by the number of real users, and not by the total number of subscribers.Thus, the lists will be headed by channels with the largest number of users - holders of a Premium subscription.
In addition, search results will directly depend on the country from which the request was made.
