The Russian messenger Telegram is 10 years old, its creator Pavel Durov congratulated his “brainchild” on the anniversary, the Buro website reported.
“Thanks to numerous updates and improvements over the years, Telegram has changed the idea of what modern messaging should be,” wrote Pavel Durov in his Telegram channel.
Especially in honor of the anniversary, the Telegram story feature became available to all users (previously, only paid subscription holders could publish them).
For 10 years, Telegram has gathered an audience of 800 million users and has become the second most popular messenger in the world. According to Durov, the next step in the development of Telegram should be to go beyond the usual messenger and lead the innovation among all social networks.
