Tents put up at the entry to Ashgabat to take temperatures of incoming passengers and drivers

Earlier this week tents have been put up where upon entry to Ashgabat. All vehicles, including passenger transports, are stopped at these checkpoints to take temperatures of drivers and passengers.

Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that one of the checkpoints was installed near the infectious diseases hospital in Choganly, whereas the second one on the road connecting Anev and the Altyn Asyr market.

Except medical staff three to four police officers in patrol cars keep vigil at the checkpoints.

In connection with tightened security measures traffic jams are formed at the checkpoints. For example, there are a lot of passenger buses coming from the direction of Anev.

Let us recall that in March all drivers heading to the capital had their temperatures taken by police officers and people in civilian clothes upon entry to Ashgabat.

However, in late April only random checks were performed at the checkpoints located on interсity motorways.

It should be pointed out that earlier this week all public sector employees were obliged to undergo medical examinations.
