The agro-industrial complex of Turkmenistan showed high production growth

In the agro-industrial complex of Turkmenistan in January-March 2024, a high production growth rate was recorded at 121,4% compared to the same period last year. Such data were announced at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahalliyev, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The greatest growth was demonstrated by the Ministry of Agriculture (145,4%), the State Association of Türkmengallaönümleri (196,5%) and the State Association of Livestock and Poultry Industry (132%).

Also, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers informed about the progress of seasonal field work in the velayats.

After listening to the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined priority tasks for the agricultural sector, including ensuring proper care of wheat crops, timely completion of cotton sowing, development of potato and vegetable growing, and efficient use of water resources.
