The Ambassador of Turkmenistan presents his credentials to the President of Kazakhstan

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov presented his credentials to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The diplomat conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the head of Kazakhastan on behalf of the leader of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan is interested in further expansion of centuries-old good-neighborly relations with Turkmenistan, and conveyed greetings to the President of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are strategic partners in both the Central Asian and Caspian regions. The political dialogue between the two states is traditionally based on the principles of friendship, mutual respect and good neighborliness. Countries are fruitfully cooperating within the framework of the UN, OSCE, OIC, CIS, IFAS and other international organizations.

Cooperation between the two countries is actively developing in the trade and economic sphere, in the transport sector. The Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran transnational railway is of great importance for the revival of the Great Silk Road, increasing trade in the region.

Turkmenistan is carrying out the construction of the highway from the Turkmen side to the border with Kazakhstan and the bridge over the Garabogazgol Gulf.
